"The Legacy plan for the city will set a high design standard for the future development in the Park East."

- Milwaukee Mayor, Tom Barrett

Flatiron architecture refers to a particular building type that occupies a triangular corner site in a city and often has a special feature such as a tower, turret or bay windows at the point of the building.

The distinctive quality of the building comes from the unique aspect of the triangular site.

The Flatiron Park East features a unique and signature element at the corner, creating a new landmark that acts as a gateway into both the residential neighborhood and the new Park East District.

"It's a very comfortable project, skillfully designed. I like the way it creates a glass element directly toward the corner. It creates a gateway to the Park East corridor development."

- City Planner, Robert Greenstreet
